Autumn Inside and Out

Casting a glance through panes of glass
I marvel at how fast the season's pass.
Browns, reds and golds of autumn so imbue
My senses with warm glow and crackling hue.
I see my paintbrush laden in earth's shades
Setting our bedroom ablaze! And, lest memory fades,
Shall capture within, the splendor seen without.
And pen these words so I may not doubt
The inspiration or the Muse that dawned;
Nature's art which a decorator's palette spawned.
